Hello guys. I have recently finished overhauling my savage engine and restoring the whole bike in general. After i assembled the engine and started it the following problems occured:
The engine at low revs runs perfectly but when it comes to accelerating it fails to follow my commands and it results to black smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe. I have an idea to open the carburetor and set the height of the floater. Would it help, since i also dissmandled and assembled it once again but without changing anything on it except the vacuum diapragm.
I am not also sure whether i connected all the other small hoses of the carb in the right places. Can someone help me as to where each hose goes.
Another question which concerns me is that the bike when i purchased it on the registration certificate states the year of built as being 1986. Surfing in the internet though i came across with some postings about the history of the bike and i read that the bike was introduced with a 5th gear in 1991 and of course my bike has one. Is that possible and perhaps the date on my registration is wrong and if yes how can i officialy prove it.
Thanks and i will be looking for your replies.
